25+ Tween Birthday Party Ideas in Brisbane
Are you looking for a unique birthday party venue for your tween in Brisbane?
Last year, I made a list of the best birthday party venues in Brisbane, and once again, it is that time of year when I get to offer my kid all my best suggestions just to hear her reject them all.
Of course, with no budget, it would be easier for her to choose a birthday party venue that is acceptable to tweens. This list has birthday party venue ideas for all types of budgets and for a variety of minimum and maximum guests.
Hopefully, this helps you find the perfect birthday party venue in Brisbane for your tween. My tween happily chose more than one option from this list.

Rose Soiree

Let the kids make a mess in a splatter paint room in Fortitude Valley.
Rose Soiree hosts birthday parties for 12+ guests aged 5+. Each 2-hour-long birthday party includes a canvas that tweens can decorate and take home.
Families are welcome to decorate the studio space and bring food and drinks.
This is one birthday party most adults would love to participate in, too!
Lush
Lush, the bath bomb and soap shop in Queen Street Mall, hosts birthday parties.
If you plan to go to the Brisbane City location, there is a minimum of 8 guests, and each participant is $50. To save a bit, you can have a minimum of 6 guests at the Chermside Shopping Centre location.
The recommended age for a birthday party at Lush is 5 years old. If participants are under 16, an adult must be at the location for the entire event.
A party at Lush lasts 1.5 hours and includes:
- a party host
- games and activities
- product making kit
- an exclusive party product for each guest
- a take-home gift
Kids can choose from 2 party themes at Lush: Fun and Games or Treat Yourself.
Riverlife

Active and adventurous tweens will love the activities offered at Riverlife.
Choose from a laser tag party, a kayaking adventure party, a rock climbing party, or an abseiling party at Riverlife.
Their food options are flexible, and you can bring your own or hire their BBQ. A party space is provided, and you can decorate it however you want.

EKPE
EKPE is Queensland’s first-ever interactive high-tech sports arena, and they provide rooms where tweens can choose their own experiences from a list of over 500 game options.
Party packages start with an 8-person minimum, though if you have a smaller group, you can book a regular reservation.
One thing that is different from most party packages is that you can spend the 2 hours however you’d like, either playing or in the party space.
Party packages include disposable plates, cups, utensils, party glasses, party hats, a bubble show, a balloon bouquet, and one video or photo projector show
Hijinx Hotel

You can host an official party at Hijinx Hotel, or get a group of kids together and sign up for a 30-minute time slot.
The way Hijinx Hotel works is that they have 2 different areas that consist of 5 challenge rooms. You can sign up for 1 set of rooms or both sets of challenge rooms. If you sign up for both sets, there is a wait time between sets.
Not quite sure what Hijinx Hotel is? Read our review!
If you prefer to throw your tween a birthday party at the Hijinx Hotel, the Kids Club option includes

Hijinx Hotel has a minimum of 10 guests per event. Challenge rooms hold 6, so if you have 6 or fewer, it may be worth going without the proper party booking. You can always enjoy a meal in their restaurant before or after the game.
Strike Bowling

Bowling is still fun for tweens, and they can play a game with or without bumpers at Strike Bowling.
Located by Holey Moley in Wintergarden at Queen Street Mall, Strike Bowling offers 3 different party packages, plus add-ons.
Two of the birthday party packages for kids at Strike Bowling include:

- main, side, and drink
- a party room
Add-ons include:
- additional games of bowling

Strike has a minimum of 10 to make a party booking. If you have fewer party guests, that is okay, just make a regular booking for a game or two of bowling.
Karaoke

Let the tweens sing and perform at karaoke!
You can rent a karaoke room at Holey Moley Wintergarden or Holey Moley Chermside.
The karaoke room at Holey Moley can fit up to 15 people and can be rented by the hour. Food can be purchased from their restaurant and brought into the room.
Another karaoke option is Dream Karaoke on Elizabeth Street, where you can rent out a room by the half hour. Dream is best for smaller groups, while groups of up to 16 can rent out Lost Souls Karaoke at Netherworld in Fortitude Valley.
Rather sing karaoke at home?
Bop Til You Drop will bring the party to you. They suggest 15-30 kids for a karaoke party. They provide an entertainer, 2 disco balls for decorations, and time for food and cake.

Holey Moley

Not only is putt-putt still fun for tweens, but all of the Holey Moley locations are one-of-a-kind and offer uniquely themed holes.

If the group is under 14, an adult does not need to be in the escape room, but does need to be there at the beginning and at the end.
At Fox in the Box, they will modify a few of their current escape rooms for kids. They will even add in birthday surprises.
While there isn’t a party space, Fox in the Box is located in the Brisbane CBD, so it won’t be hard to find a place to eat before or after your event.

Of course, heading to Wet n Wild would make for a fun birthday party for a tween, but if that is not possible, there are quite a few pools around Brisbane where you can host a party.
Chermside Aquatic Centre has Brisbane’s largest water park with multiple slides and a kids’ splash area.
Summer birthday parties are made for the pool, and Chermside Aquatic Centre offers birthday party packages. Just contact them with your requests, and they will help you plan the day, from activities to food. They can even add in extras such as lolly bags and icy pops.
Takeaway food is not allowed, but they do have a cafe with hot and cold items as well as a BBQ hire.
We held my daughter’s 10th birthday party at Chermside Aquatic Centre, but opted to have just a few kids and did not have an official party. It is easy to show up and purchase wristbands for the guests.
My kids have been to a few parties at Newmarket Pool as well. You can bring your food or purchase meals from the kiosk. Newmarket Pool is fun as they have multiple pools, splash pads, and a large waterslide.
