10 Kid-Friendly Escape Rooms in Brisbane Plus BONUS Virtual Escape Rooms
Family-Friendly Escape Rooms in Brisbane
For those of you who are like us and bring the kids everywhere, or for those with older kids who are looking for some indoor fun, check out our list of kid-friendly escape rooms in Brisbane.
Kids of all ages can help solve puzzles and use the clues to discover how to escape.
I can tell you from experience that escape rooms are fun even when you do not get out in time.
Brisbane Escape Rooms Tips and Practical Information
Some of the escape room themes are dark, so make sure to plan which room to play in based on your children’s ages and preferences. My kids like spooky things, but I do not!
Some of the rooms can be made more child-friendly upon request.
All of these rooms are booked privately, which means that no one else will be joining your group.
If you want to save money on an escape room, I recommend signing up for their email list. Special deals are often sent out over email.
For those of you booking young kids, it pays off to call or email. We have gotten our kids in half off, which wasn’t listed on the website.
Phones and cameras are not allowed into the escape room. Each location will have a secure place for you to leave your belongings.
Also, doors aren’t actually locked. You are never LOCKED IN the escape room. It is all pretending.

Kids play for free at CluedUpp events, which means that they do not count towards the 6 people in the group. The cost of the event is 1 price regardless of how many people are on your team.
As this is an outdoor escape room, expect lots of walking. The average group walks 3-5 kilometers. Groups are able to stop throughout the event for food, drinks, and breaks as needed. The only rule is that those who wish to compete for prizes must be finished by 5 pm.
CluedUpp Games are themed events and encourage their participants to dress up according to the theme.

Virtual Escape Rooms
The best thing about virtual escape rooms is that you do not even all need to be in the same room to play.
I am living in Brisbane while my family and friends are in the US, and virtual experiences have helped us celebrate birthdays this year.
We did a travel-themed virtual escape room through Etsy for my birthday with players in multiple states and countries. Etsy has plenty of choices for all ages.
Arcadium Adventures
Those that live in Australia can purchase an escape room by post through Arcadium Adventures.
Their Puzzles By Post cost $30. If you just want to print it out yourself, the same experience is $20.
TIME LIMIT: 1-2 hours
AGE LIMIT: recommended 14+
# Of PEOPLE/GAME: 2-6
AmazingCo
AmazingCo has a virtual escape room coming soon.
Their games can be played at one location or separate locations using a video chat in addition to the game page.
AmazingCo will send you the link to play the game and any additional information that you may need at least 24 hours in advance.
They also offer Murder Mystery parties, which I played for my mom’s birthday. We had 6 people, which is their minimum. Each person got the information to play a different character and we got 7 clues to help us solve who committed the crime. The length of time it takes depends on how quickly you listen to the clues.
TIME LIMIT: 60 minutes
AGE LIMIT: recommended 15+
# Of PEOPLE/GAME: 1-6
Escape Hunt
At-home escape rooms can be printed as soon as they are purchased through Escape Hunt.

Brisbane Escape Rooms Round-Up
What escape rooms have you tried with your family? Which Brisbane escape rooms do you recommend?
As the weather heats up, I know my family will be back in at least one of Brisbane’s best escape rooms. Our kids love solving clues and if the theme is a little spooky, they like it even more.
