The Sydney Observatory offers family tours on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the year. During the New South Wales school holidays, family tours also take place on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

The family tour is recommended for those 6+ and takes place multiple times each night.
Families with kids 12+ can opt to take the regular tour of the Sydney Observatory which takes place 4x a night each Wednesday to Saturday.
Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb

Kids 8+ and at least 1.2 meters tall can participate in a Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb.
The bridge is open for bridge climbs throughout the day as well as for twilight and night climbs.
While I have yet to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge with kids, I have completed the twilight climb twice. It is a great way to see the city during the day, at sunset, and at night.
The kids have climbed Story Bridge in Brisbane, and it is a similar experience.
For the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb, families can choose between the Summit Tour which is 3 hours long and includes a tour along the upper arch, and the 2.5-hour-long Summit Insider which includes a tour along the lower arch.
Luna Park

Powerhouse Late is a program that includes live music, film screenings, workshops, talks, and tours.

On Friday nights, head to the night market in Chinatown. Open from 4 pm to 11 pm, the night market has more than 50 stalls, including food stalls and shops.
