It is no secret that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and though I no longer live in the US, I still want to celebrate. We spend Thanksgiving in Brisbane now, and Australia definitely knows how to celebrate this festive American holiday.

Mode Kitchen and Bar, Four Seasons Hotel
In 2025, a buffet is available at Mode Kitchen and Bar at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney on Thanksgiving for $140 per person.
A drink package is available.
Buffet items include:
- Parker House rolls, cornbread, and sourdough
- cold ham and turkey
- marinated artichokes, pickled green beans, cornichons
- deviled eggs
- cheese and crackers
- oysters, prawns, cured trout, and mussels
- herb-roasted turkey

From 7 pm until 10 pm on Thursday, November 27, 2025, a traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be served family-style at Gazebo Wine Bar for $80 per person.
Start with a welcome drink, a Thanksgiving cocktail.
Both turkey and honey-glazed ham will be served alongside classic trimmings, which include:

- roast veggies
- mashed potatoes

- cornbread
- cranberry sauce
- gravy
Dessert is pumpkin pie and apple pie.
Sofitel Melbourne on Collins (American Australian Org)
The American Australian Organization will be hosting its first American Thanksgiving at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins Street on Thursday, November 27, 2025, from 12 pm until 2 pm.
There will be a keynote address by Dame Quentin Bryce, followed by a Q&A session.
Tickets are $250 each.
Harvard Club of Australia
The Harvard Club of Australia will be hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner at the Fullerton Hotel in Sydney on Friday, 21 November 2025, from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Dinner and drinks are inclusive for $160 for members and $185 for non-members. Tables of 10 are on sale for $1,600.
In addition to a turkey dinner with traditional sides, Thanksgiving entertainment and activities will be provided throughout the evening.
