Fiji Gateway Hotel by Nadi Airport Review
For those who want to stay near Nadi International Airport due to an early morning flight or a flight that gets in really late, Fiji Gateway Hotel is literally within walking distance from NAN.
My husband landed mid-afternoon on a Saturday so that he would be there to help me with the kids after we arrived around 5 am on a Sunday. He didn’t want to be too far, and we wanted the option to immediately go to a room when we landed, so he picked the Fiji Gateway Hotel, located across the street from Nadi International Airport.
The decision to stay at Fiji Gateway Hotel ended up being the perfect way to begin our holiday in Fiji.

Arriving at Fiji Gateway Hotel
After traveling to the United States for a month, the kids and I flew to Fiji from Orlando, Florida, with a day-long layover in San Francisco. Read about our flight on Fiji Airways.
We arrived in Nadi early Sunday morning and sped through customs. We actually got through so quickly that Mark’s alarm hadn’t even gone off yet.
I sent him a text and called a few minutes later to find him still asleep. Luckily, he could get to us within just a few minutes, and he didn’t even need to wait for a taxi.
For those who want, there is a shuttle bus that takes you from Nadi International Airport to Fiji Gateway Hotel, but we walked with our luggage as it is a 500-meter walk that takes about 5 minutes.
When arriving at Nadi International Airport, there are shelves of complimentary Fiji water as you go through customs, though the shelves were empty when we arrived. Visitor SIM cards are available at the airport, though they were out when we arrived. If you need a SIM card and the free visitor cards aren't in stock, you can purchase a SIM card at the airport.

Palm Court Restaurant

As soon as you walk into the Fiji Gateway Hotel, you see the Palm Court Restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
A continental breakfast buffet was set up as we walked in, and à la carte menu options are also available. We opted to eat at the buffet, which includes yogurt, cereal, pastries, fruit, juice, and coffee.
Hot meals and pastries are available from the menu.
Lunch options at Palm Court Restaurant include salads, sandwiches, burgers, curries, stir fry, and lots of Aussie favorites such as fish and chips, schnitzels, and meat pies.
For dinner, there is a range of International options as well as pasta, burgers, and salads.
Bar
Right next to the Palm Court Restaurant is a bar that is open daily.
Both hot and cold coffee drinks, smoothies, beer, wine, and cocktails are available to purchase at the bar.
Cafe
At the same location as the bar, there is a cafe serving freshly baked pastries, muffins, cakes, and cookies as well as salads and pies.
For a quick breakfast or lunch, head to the cafe at Fiji Gateway Hotel.
Swimming Pools at Fiji Gateway Hotel
Fiji Gateway Hotel has 2 swimming pools, and one includes a slide.
The Quiet Pool

Located right off the Palm Court Restaurant is the Quiet Pool, where no running, jumping, or splashing is allowed.
Tables and chairs are located right next to the Quiet Pool. The Quiet Pool includes both a swimming pool and a hot tub.
Swimming Pool with a Slide

The pools at Fiji Gateway Hotel are not open 24 hours, so we had to wait until 8 am for the kids to swim.
Of course, we hadn’t planned on them swimming at the hotel, but after they saw the waterslide, it was all they could talk about.

By the time we rested, ate breakfast, and got the kids ready to swim, there were already other people sitting by the pool.
The main swimming pool is located off the bar and cafe.
I found a spot in the shade and watched the kids go down the water slide countless times before swimming under the bridge into the main area of the pool.

Additional Amenities at Fiji Gateway Hotel
In addition to the restaurant and two swimming pools, the Fiji Gateway Hotel has tennis courts and a gym.
Don’t worry about bringing your tennis racket; balls and rackets are available to borrow from the desk.
24-hour room service is available, which is perfect for those staying at Fiji Gateway Hotel after a late-night flight into Nadi.
There is also a boutique where you can purchase snacks and anything you forgot to pack.
Fiji Gateway Hotel Wrap Up

A night at the Fiji Gateway Hotel was perfect for our family at the start of our Fiji holiday.
While I wouldn’t recommend an extended stay at Fiji Gateway Hotel, it is not because there is anything wrong with the hotel; it is a lovely hotel, but more because I like to get further than the airport hotel.
Fiji Gateway Hotel has everything you need for a late-night or early-morning flight. With 24-hour room service, a restaurant, multiple pools, and close enough to the airport that you can walk, Fiji Gateway Hotel is an easy place to spend a night. Plus, the grounds are beautiful.
