Amazing Co Family Date Night
All you have to do is head to Amazing Co and sign up for their Family Date Night Experience.
Here in Australia, it costs $30 no matter how many people you have in your family.
While you do pick an exact date for your Family Date Night event, it can easily be rescheduled.
They do say that you can play across multiple households, but I am glad that in the end, we decided to just stick to our little family in one location instead of inviting the kids’ cousins to play. Maybe it would work with older kids, but ours were 5 and 7 on our family date night and things would have been too confusing.
Family Date Night with AmazingCo Review
Like the Mystery Picnic, the date night was easy to book.
AmazingCo gifted me the Family Date Night after I signed up to be an affiliate. They did not ask for a blog post.
I went back and forth deciding to invite other families to join us, but in the end, I decided to just keep it our family. I was not sure what to expect and I did not know if it would be easy or stressful to play against other families.
AmazingCo suggests playing on teams with younger kids so that is what we did. Dad and Daughter v. Mom and Son.
I do not want to give away too much, but all 4 of us had a good time solving puzzles, playing games, and hanging out as a family.
Some things were hard for us, but they have clues to help you. The kids were able to participate and answer some of the questions that we did not know the answers to, and the parents knew some things that the kids did not know.
Our AmazingCo Family Date Night Recommendations
We ended up not keeping score as it was starting to cause arguments. The kids did not care that we did not keep score.
I do think that it would have been tough to compete against other families virtually. I was glad that we just played against each other.
AmazingCo lets you know ahead of time that this activity takes up to 3 hours.
We decided to split it up and have a double family fun night.
They also suggest having snacks, and I have to say that having a treat ready stopped a few meltdowns. We had one group snack while the other solved puzzles and then switched.
In the beginning, I kind of felt like I could have come up with the activities myself. In the end, I decided that it was worth the money.
There is no way that I would have come up with that many fun activities, and this way, I was able to participate too.
*It has been about a month since our family date night and my daughter is still asking to do it again, or for me to book something else just like it. We ended up booking AmazingCo’s Spring Family Challenge.
